Steve Grimbleby

Construction Consultant With a career spanning more than 35 years in the construction industry, I have developed extensive experience across all stages of the construction process — from early planning and estimating through to project delivery and completion. Beginning my career as a Building Technician while studying for my ONC and HNC in Building Studies, I later achieved a BSc in Construction Management. Throughout my career, I have held a variety of roles including Production Control, Estimating, Contracts Management, and Pre-Construction Management. I have worked with national main contractors on large commercial developments, regional contractors on medium-sized schemes, and family-run businesses delivering smaller commercial and residential projects. This breadth of experience has provided valuable insight into what drives successful projects, as well as the challenges that can arise without effective planning, communication, and technical understanding. My experience across contractors of varying sizes and sectors enables me to provide practical, commercially focused advice tailored to each client and project. I bring a collaborative approach, strong communication skills, and a detailed understanding of both pre-construction and live construction environments. I provide support across a wide range of projects, from initial concept and budgeting through to construction management and successful completion.
