Red Feather Construction Consultancy was appointed by Goole Rugby Union Football Club to manage the addition of a new first-floor balcony to the clubhouse — a project that had been highly anticipated by both the club committee and its members. Working closely with the club from the outset, I assisted in developing the initial concept alongside a trusted architectural contact. The proposed design was prepared and submitted for planning permission, which was subsequently approved, allowing the project to move forward on programme. Following approval, I produced a detailed project budget which was reviewed and approved by the club committee. Drawing on trusted industry relationships, I sourced and coordinated experienced local contractors, including a groundworks team, steel fabricator and steel erection specialists to deliver the balcony structure. A further local contractor was appointed to supply and install the new access doors leading onto the balcony area. Throughout the construction phase, I carried out regular site visits to monitor progress, manage coordination between trades and deal with any queries as they arose. The project was successfully completed within a three-week programme and delivered on time for the club’s bi-annual summer ball, where the balcony was officially unveiled.
